Yes, Sanskriti Yogshala (RYS 200) is a registered yoga school with Yoga Alliance, USA for providing internationally recognized yoga teacher training certifications in India. All our yoga teacher training graduates can register online at Yoga Alliance® website.

To become a certified yoga teacher, you must successfully complete a yoga teacher training course and show competence in your ability to teach a yoga class. Find out what the suggested minimum requirements for yoga teachers are at: www.yogaalliance.org.The yoga alliance page also lists training programs and yoga schools that meet their minimum standards.

The only prerequisite for our students is that they have an open mind and an appetite for learning and growth. Our teachers are wonderful at balancing varying skill levels – we have had students with no experience taking the course alongside students with more than a decade of experience.

In general, it isn’t absolutely required to prepare and study beforehand. However, if you’d like to learn more prior to our course, you can read up on these books: Bhagavad Geeta Yog Sutra Asana Pranayama Mudra Bandha We will study the most important sections of the Bhagavad Geeta and Yog Sutra, and the Asana Pranayama Mudra Bandha book is a well-known overview of proper yoga practice and anatomy/alignment.

No, all students are coming from different parts of the world, so English are most likely second language of them. The courses are easily understandable and teachers will help you in anything.

White color clothes are recommended. Try to avoid black color clothes. Modest dressing is highly recommended.

The closest and most convenient airport for you is to fly to New-Delhi. If you are visiting India for the first time then it is better for you to take a flight to Dehradun (city nearby), and from Dehradun is a 30 min drive by car, so you save a hustle.

Delhi airport to Rishikesh by car is a 6 hours journey. We have a transportation package for US$ 150 which will cover your airport pick-up, transfer from Delhi to Rishikesh (by car) and after completion of the course transfer back from Rishikesh to Delhi.

You can take a train to get from New Delhi (or Delhi station, depending on the train) to Yog Nagri Rishikesh, the city nearby Rishikesh. The trip will take you from 4 to 7 hours, depending on the train.

Yes, it is safe to travel alone to Rishikesh, many tourist does it. It might be a bit challenging to travel by local buses or trains sometimes if you are never been to India before, as its very different from other parts of the world.

Food provided at our center is 100% vegetarian, not vegan. You will need to inform us in advance so our chef can prepare food for you especially.

There is pure filtered water available for students 24/7, free of charge.

We Provide Twin Shared or Private Room.The rooms are new, big and bright. You'll have a wardrobe and a big-size bed. 24/7 hot shower, water heater, unlimited internet access, and intercom. Bedsheets, pillows, and towels are also provided.

December-January-February are the coldest month, the temperature gets down to 15-26 C, and we do not provide room heaters, so if you are doing the course during December-early March we recommend you to bring warm clothes.

April to August - hot & rainy weather - light cotton clothes are recommended, as the temperature can get even to 40 degrees. September is the ending of the rainy season. Still if you coming during these month umbrella/raincoats are recommended.

October to March - weather in Rishikesh varies from pleasant to cold and woolen clothes, jackets etc. are recommended. The temperature is averagely around 32-33 C.

First fill the Registration form and deposit an advanced course fees.

We are accepting credit card payments for booking amounts. Remaining fees can be paid either in cash or by TCs. If you opt for paying your remaining fees by credit card then additional 3% will be charged as transaction fee. You can also use your ATM debit cards (Master/Visa/Electron) to withdraw cash in Rishikesh.

Yes, if there is any personal issues, so in case we are able delay the dates of your course. The advance of the course fees are non-refundable, only in the case of emergency students can join us on other schedules.

We would actually recommend obtaining an ATM card that doesn’t charge / reimburses international fees. This is very convenient for travelers, and often the transaction limits for ATM machines are about $100-150 USD, so if they need to pull out money across multiple transactions, they are charged with a fee every single time. That being said, you should probably bring about $200-400 in USD or your own local currency just in case.

Students should apply for tourist visa as it is easy and granted from indian embassy shortly, purpose of visit in india should be yoga retreat or ayurveda retreats. Students may give our school address as well as contact number as an indian reference. Contact details of Indian embassy in your country can be found. In general, visa expiry date is counted from the day visa is issued. Please verify it with the concerned embassy. Try to apply for your visa at least 2 or 3 weeks before your travel date.
